Job summary

Applied Control is seeking a technically focused Business Development Manager to support growth in our Asset Performance Management portfolio, with emphasis on vibration monitoring and reliability solutions. You will engage maintenance and operations leaders, translate technical insights into business value, and build long-term customer partnerships.

This remote-friendly role prioritizes reliability engineering expertise, cross-functional collaboration, and the development of service offerings.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in vibration analysis, condition monitoring, machinery diagnostics, reliability engineering, predictive maintenance, or related field.
• Experience selling or delivering reliability services, engineering services, condition monitoring programs, or industrial software solutions.
• Working knowledge of rotating equipment (pumps, motors, compressors, fans, turbines, gearboxes).
• Strong understanding of vibration monitoring technologies and applications.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and customer engagement skills.
• Ability to build technical credibility with maintenance and reliability professionals.

Responsibilities

• Develop and grow opportunities across Applied Control’s APM, reliability, and digital transformation portfolio.
• Build trusted relationships with maintenance, reliability, operations, engineering, and plant leadership teams.
• Identify customer challenges and align solutions to help achieve objectives.
• Conduct customer meetings, site visits, workshops, and assessments to uncover improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with internal subject matter experts, service teams, and technology partners to deliver solutions.
• Present technical and business value propositions with measurable impact.
• Develop and manage a healthy sales pipeline with accurate forecasting.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to customers throughout their reliability journey.
