Job summary

Gainwell Technologies is seeking a Batch Developer (UNIX/C/SQL) to join a healthcare technology team. In this role you will develop, test, and document batch programs that support healthcare administration products used by millions.

You will grow professionally through comprehensive development academies and a flexible vacation policy. You will analyze requirements, design solutions, and maintain technical documentation while working remotely with on-call availability and travel limited to 0-10%

Qualifications

• 3+ years of batch programming experience using Unix/Linux with C and SQL (Oracle or other database).
• Experience with Claims, Pharmacy POS, EDI and/or NCPDP is highly desired.
• Experience with the full software development life cycle.

Responsibilities

• Codes, tests, debugs, implements, and documents programs; modify products and systems to meet client needs.
• Gathers information, analyzes requirements, and documents changes to existing programs.
• Designs programs for projects or enhancements and writes specifications for moderate complexity.
• Resolves production support problems and suggests alternative approaches.
• Develops test plans to verify logic and conducts QA through peer reviews.
• Maintains documentation for code and technical specs.
• Keeps abreast of industry trends to maintain current skills.
