Job summary

Gainwell Technologies is seeking a Sr. Batch Developer (UNIX/C/SQL) to join a healthcare technology team serving communities nationwide.

You will develop, test, and document complex programs, participate in requirements sessions, and mentor junior developers while collaborating with clients and management. The role offers fully remote work across the United States, with travel up to 10% and a base pay range of $75,000–$95,000 per year.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in application development.
• 4+ years with C programming and Pro*C.
• 4+ years working in Unix or Linux environments.
• 4+ years working with relational databases.
• Expertise in batch development, job automation, and notification services.
• Experience writing specifications and design documentation (UML diagrams).
• Healthcare/Medicaid work experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participate in requirements gathering sessions to build design documents and specifications.
• Prepare time estimates and justifications for assigned tasks.
• Code, test, debug, implement and document moderately to complex programs.
• Participate in peer reviews and evaluate existing systems for enhancements.
• Liaise with clients and management to provide technical consulting on complex projects.
• Provide leadership and guidance to less experienced developers.
