Gainwell Technologies is seeking a Batch Developer (UNIX/C/SQL) to join our healthcare technology team. You will develop and support software used to improve health outcomes for communities, leveraging your UNIX, C and SQL skills.

The role emphasizes growth through our development academies and flexible benefits. The position offers a fully remote option within the United States, with occasional on-call production support and travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of applications development and batch programming using Unix, Linux, C and SQL.
• Experience with Claims, Pharmacy POS, EDI and/or NCPDP is highly desired.
• Experience with the full software development life cycle.

Responsibilities

• Codes, tests, debugs, implements, and documents programs. Assists in modifications to meet client needs.
• Gathers information, analyzes requirements, and prepares documentation for changes.
• Designs programs for projects or enhancements and writes specs for low to moderate complexity.
• Assists in production support and suggests alternative approaches to problems.
• Develops test plans and documents quality assurance activities.
• Keeps documentation up-to-date and researches industry trends.
