Job summary

Kapitus, Inc. is seeking an experienced backend engineer focused on code quality to design and build scalable software for internal customers in an agile environment.

You will contribute from ground up while leveraging modern architecture, patterns, and practices to support lending solutions for small businesses. You will develop in Python with Flask, integrate AWS services, and help maintain CI/CD pipelines, collaborating with stakeholders and mentoring junior developers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years Python experience with Flask preferred.
• Experience with AWS services Lambda, Cognito, SNS, SQS and DynamoDB.
• 2+ years Salesforce experience.
• 3+ years building or maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Clean, well-documented code using modern best practices.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Experience in financial services or lending is a strong plus.
• AWS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Define architecture, patterns, and practices for a new platform, integrating with legacy apps.
• Develop backend services in Python, with emphasis on Flask.
• Build and integrate solutions using AWS services (Lambda, Cognito, SNS, SQS, DynamoDB).
• Maintain deployment pipelines and CI/CD processes.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align with product roadmap in an Agile/Scrum setting.
• Partner with Tech Lead/Engineering Manager on scalable practices.
• Mentor junior developers on Python and engineering practices.
