Kapitus, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain modern internal software. You will shape architecture, implement backend services in Python with Flask, and leverage AWS services.

The role emphasizes collaboration with product owners, adherence to Agile/Scrum, and mentorship of junior engineers. You will contribute to deployment pipelines and infrastructure with OpenTofu and Terraform, while advancing code quality and documentation across a growing team in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5+ years of engineering experience.
• Deep understanding of Python (5 years+) with Flask preferred.
• Experience with AWS services (Lambda, Cognito, SNS, SQS, DynamoDB).
• 2+ years of Salesforce experience.
• 3+ years building or maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code (OpenTofu, Terraform).
• Experience in Agile/Scrum and collaboration with product leadership.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Interest in technical leadership and mentorship.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain software for internal users from the ground up.
• Define architecture, patterns, and practices for a new platform, integrating legacy systems.
• Develop backend services in Python, focusing on Flask.
• Build solutions using AWS (Lambda, Cognito, SNS, SQS, DynamoDB).
• Maintain deployment pipelines and CI/CD processes.
• Build infrastructure using OpenTofu and Terraform.
• Collaborate with stakeholders on the product roadmap in Agile/Scrum.
• Partner with Tech Lead and Engineering Manager on scalable practices.
• Participate in code reviews and set engineering standards.
• Mentor junior developers on Python and engineering practices.
