Job summary

ROBOTIC PROCESS AUTOMATION LLC is seeking an experienced backend engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable services and APIs in Python. You will work with Kafka in high-throughput environments and build cloud-native apps on AWS, Azure, or GCP.

You will lead architectural discussions, mentor junior engineers, and drive CI/CD practices while ensuring secure, reliable systems. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential to deliver robust software.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of backend development experience.
• Strong experience with Python in building production-grade systems.
• Deep understanding of Kafka in high-scale production environments.
• Experience deploying cloud-native applications on AWS/Azure/GCP.
• Proficient with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with microservices, RESTful APIs, and event-driven systems.
• Solid CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and automated testing.
• Experience leading or mentoring engineering teams.
• Strong communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Open-source contributions or a strong GitHub portfolio.
• Knowledge of security best practices for backend services.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using Python.
• Manage Kafka messaging for high-throughput, low-latency environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Develop cloud-native applications on AWS/Azure/GCP.
• Lead Kafka configuration optimization for performance and scalability.
• Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership.
• Conduct code reviews and drive CI/CD and cloud-architecture best practices.
• Troubleshoot production issues in backend and Kafka processing.
• Contribute to architectural decisions ensuring maintainability and security.
• Implement automated testing and work in an agile lifecycle.
