Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional Python experience with production Django apps.
• 2+ years building RESTful APIs with Django REST Framework or similar.
• Strong Django fundamentals (ORM, migrations, transactions, performance).
• Strong SQL and data modeling skills.
• Ability to own features end-to-end and make thoughtful architectural decisions.
• Familiarity with AI coding tools and evaluating code quality.

Responsibilities

• Build backend features across Django codebase from planning to release.
• Design efficient database models and queries for scale.
• Develop secure, reliable systems protecting sensitive data.
• Collaborate with engineers on architecture and avoid over-engineering.
• Participate in code reviews and help resolve production issues.
