Job summary

Ladders is seeking a Software Engineer to join a leader in Consumer Technology, focusing on backend services and cloud capabilities for a distributed software platform. Remote US-based candidates only; visa sponsorship unavailable.

You will design reliable APIs, build asynchronous processing, and contribute to a cloud-native infrastructure using containers and Kubernetes, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure production quality and scalable workflows.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on production software development.
• Proficiency building backend APIs with TypeScript and Node.js.
• Experience with asynchronous and distributed processing concepts.
• Ability to write effective unit and integration tests.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver backend services and APIs for cloud capabilities.
• Build orchestration systems for job submission and tracking.
• Develop asynchronous, event-driven systems using messaging and queues.
• Support distributed execution flows and service-to-service communication.
• Build and maintain cloud-native runtime infrastructure with containers and Kubernetes.
• Integrate services with persistence layers and internal contracts.
• Improve production reliability via metrics and incident follow-up.
