Job summary

Cognizant Technology Solutions Corporation is seeking an experienced Azure Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to ensure the reliability, availability, and security of applications on Microsoft Azure. The role focuses on Azure infrastructure, observability, automation, and production support, working across multiple teams to strengthen monitoring and platform resilience.

The position offers remote work in the USA with a compensation up to $130K plus eligibility for Cognizant’s discretionary annual

Qualifications

• Experience with Azure infrastructure and production workloads.
• Strong knowledge of Azure architecture, availability, scalability, and troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience with key Azure services (VMs, App Services, Storage, Key Vault, Load Balancers, AKS, networking).
• Experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights).
• Experience building Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with IaC using Terraform, Bicep, and ARM templates.
• Strong problem-solving and cross-team collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage production and non-production workloads on Microsoft Azure.
• Troubleshoot Azure services including AKS, App Services, Storage, Key Vault, Load Balancers, and networking.
• Design scalable, highly available, and reliable Azure cloud solutions.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, connectivity, performance, and availability issues; perform root‑cause analysis.
• Implement and maintain monitoring and alerting using Azure Monitor and Application Insights.
• Apply SRE principles to improve service availability and stability.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
• Develop IaC using Terraform, Bicep, and ARM templates.
• Automate repetitive operational tasks to reduce manual intervention.
• Support security, identity, and access management in Azure.
