Job summary

Cognizant in the United States is hiring a Cloud Software Engineer (Azure) to architect and build cloud-native, API-driven solutions that securely move data across enterprise systems. The role may require in-person interviews at Cognizant offices or client locations as needed.

You will own API lifecycles, implement security with Azure AD, work with Java/Spring, GraphQL, and CI/CD, and collaborate within Agile delivery teams to deliver robust, scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Azure experience with Functions, Data Factory, Storage, and related services.
• Strong API lifecycle management with Azure API Management (REST/OpenAPI), versioning and security.
• Proven API security experience with Azure AD, plus mTLS and throttling.
• Proficiency in Java, Spring Data JPA, Spring Boot, and GraphQL.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (MySQL/Oracle/MongoDB), PL/SQL, and CI/CD tooling.

Responsibilities

• Architect and build cloud-native APIs on Microsoft Azure using Functions, Data Factory, and Storage.
• Own the full API lifecycle with Azure API Management—design, security, analytics, and deprecation.
• Implement API security with Azure AD, including mTLS and throttling.
• Develop APIs using GraphQL along with Java, Spring Data JPA, and Spring Boot.
• Build CI/CD pipelines with Git and GitHub Actions in Agile/Scrum teams.
