Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Cloud Software Engineer (Azure) to architect and build cloud-native, API-driven solutions on Microsoft Azure that securely move and orchestrate data across enterprise systems. You will work with product owners and cross-functional teams in a remote, US-based role.

The role emphasizes API lifecycle management, security with Azure AD and mTLS, Java/Spring and GraphQL API development, and CI/CD using Git/GitHub Actions within Agile delivery teams.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience architecting and developing Azure-based solutions.
• Strong API lifecycle management with Azure API Management.
• Proven API security with authentication/authorization using Azure AD, plus mTLS and throttling.
• Proficiency in Java, Spring Data JPA, and Spring Boot for API development, plus GraphQL.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (MySQL/Oracle/MongoDB), PL/SQL, CI/CD tooling (Git, GitHub Actions).
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.

Responsibilities

• Architect and develop Azure-based data movement, transformation, and orchestration between systems.
• Own the full API lifecycle using Azure API Management, including design, versioning, security, analytics, monitoring, and deprecation.
• Implement API security with Azure Active Directory, and develop and manage custom API security policies, mTLS, and throttling.
• Develop APIs using GraphQL as well as Java, Spring Data JPA, and Spring Boot.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Git and GitHub Actions while working within Agile/Scrum teams.
