Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Cloud Software Engineer (Azure) to architect and build cloud-native API-driven solutions on Microsoft Azure. You will move and orchestrate data securely across enterprise systems as part of an Agile delivery team.

The role emphasizes API lifecycle management, security with Azure AD, and hands-on Java/Spring API development, including GraphQL. Remote US-based role with potential in-person interviews. Salary ranges and incentive plans apply.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience architecting and developing solutions on Microsoft Azure.
• Strong API lifecycle management experience with Azure API Management.
• Proven API security experience implementing authentication/authorization with Azure Active Directory, plus mTLS and throttling.
• Proficiency in Java, Spring Data JPA, and Spring Boot for API development; GraphQL experience.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases and CI/CD tooling; Agile/Scrum teams.

Responsibilities

• Architect and develop solutions on Microsoft Azure using Azure services for data movement, transformation, and orchestration.
• Own the full API lifecycle using Azure API Management, including REST design, versioning, security, analytics, and deprecation.
• Implement API security with Azure AD, develop custom security policies, mTLS, and throttling.
• Develop APIs using GraphQL, Java, Spring Data JPA, and Spring Boot.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with Git/GitHub Actions in Agile/Scrum teams.
