Job summary

Cognizant seeks a Cloud Software Engineer (Azure) to design and build cloud-native, API-driven solutions on Microsoft Azure that securely move and orchestrate data across enterprise systems. You will collaborate with product owners, architects, and Agile teams, and may interview in person depending on project needs.

Responsibilities include API design and security, GraphQL and Java Spring Boot development, and building CI/CD pipelines with Git/GitHub Actions in a Scrum environment.

Qualifications

• Experience architecting and developing on Microsoft Azure with related services.
• Experience managing API lifecycles using Azure API Management.
• Experience implementing authentication/authorization with Azure Active Directory and policies.
• Proficiency in Java, Spring Data JPA, Spring Boot; GraphQL API development.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases; CI/CD tooling; Agile/Scrum.

Responsibilities

• Architect and develop Azure-based data solutions with API-driven architecture.
• Own the full API lifecycle including design, security, analytics, and deprecation.
• Implement API security with Azure AD, including mTLS and throttling.
• Develop APIs using Java, Spring Data JPA, Spring Boot, and GraphQL.
• Build CI/CD pipelines using Git and GitHub Actions in Agile teams.
