Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Cloud Software Engineer (Azure) to architect and build cloud-native, API-driven solutions on Microsoft Azure, enabling secure data movement and orchestration across enterprise systems. You will own the API lifecycle, implement security with Azure AD, and develop using Java, Spring Boot, and GraphQL within Agile teams.

Remote position in the United States with in-person interviews possible at Cognizant offices or client locations. Competitive compensation and benefits apply.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience architecting and developing solutions on Microsoft Azure using Azure Functions, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Storage.

Responsibilities

• Architect and develop Azure-based data movement, transformation, and orchestration solutions.
• Own the full API lifecycle using Azure API Management, including API design (REST, OpenAPI/Swagger), development, versioning, security, analytics, monitoring, and deprecation.
• Implement API security, including authentication and authorization with Azure Active Directory, and develop and manage custom API security policies, mTLS, and API throttling.
• Develop APIs using GraphQL as well as Java, Spring Data JPA, and Spring Boot.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Git and GitHub Actions in Agile/Scrum teams.
