Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a experienced Solutions Architect to own the technical relationship with large energy customers, guiding security, cost, performance, and reliability while crafting scalable cloud architectures.

You will advocate for customers inside AWS, help shape feature roadmaps, and mentor others, sharing best practices and reference architectures across the global AWS Solutions Architecture community.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of technology domain experience.
• 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures.
• 10+ years IT development or implementation in software/Internet industries.
• Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences, including executive level stakeholders or clients.
• Experience with presentations and speaking with executives, IT, management, and developers.
• Experience architecting and operating in large Enterprise IT environments, including expertise with corporate identity management systems, enterprise authentication frameworks, SOPs, ITSM, change management processes, and enterprise security controls.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical relationship with customers and advise on security, cost, performance, reliability, and best-practice architectures.
• Advocate for customer needs to inform the AWS roadmap and drive continual improvements to the AWS platform.
• Help shape the Solutions Architecture organization by hiring, coaching and mentoring others.
• Develop and share best practices, technical content and reference architectures across the AWS Solutions Architect community.
