Qualifications

• 8+ years in software or data engineering with a strong AWS focus.
• Proven experience architecting cloud data migrations in production.
• Track record selecting AWS data services to meet reporting needs.
• Experience delivering analytics for non-technical users.
• Hands-on AWS data services including S3, Athena, Glue, Aurora, DynamoDB, Redshift, OpenSearch, Lambda, IAM, CloudWatch.

Responsibilities

• Lead the next phase of the healthcare data platform modernization.
• Evolve to a scalable, cloud-native AWS data architecture enabling SQL-based reports.
• Evaluate the right AWS data strategy for the platform.
• Recommend AWS-native storage/query architectures (S3+Athena, Aurora, DynamoDB, Redshift, OpenSearch).
• Design the reporting layer for business users to run relational SQL queries.
• Architect migration from MSSQL XML object store into AWS platform.
• Build and maintain AWS data catalog, schemas, metadata management.
• Optimize query performance and cost across AWS services.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate reporting requirements into data models.
• Work with back-end C#/.Net engineers to ensure data flows from EDI pipelines.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines using AWS tooling.
• Apply IaC with CDK, CloudFormation, or Terraform.
• Document architecture decisions and data dictionaries.
