Job summary

Ensemble Health Partners is seeking an Assistant Vice President, Vendor Strategy & Cost Management to optimize vendor-related financial performance through spend analytics, utilization management, strategic sourcing, and contract negotiations. You will partner across Finance, Operations, Revenue Cycle, IT, Legal, and executive leadership to ensure value realization.

The role leads complex sourcing events, sets governance, and delivers measurable cost savings while fostering strong business

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, vendor management, finance, consulting, procurement, or healthcare operations.
• 5+ years of leadership experience managing teams, programs, or enterprise initiatives.
• Demonstrated success leading complex negotiations with national and enterprise suppliers.
• Advanced analytical and financial modeling capabilities.
• Experience building executive-level business cases and financial recommendations.
• Strong understanding of contract management principles and vendor governance.
• Demonstrated advanced usage of AI and translating AI into business outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the enterprise leader responsible for vendor spend transparency and optimization.
• Analyze vendor expenditures across categories to identify savings opportunities and margins.
• Establish enterprise standards for spend reporting and governance.
• Develop executive dashboards and reporting on vendor financial performance.
• Partner with Finance and FP&A to validate savings opportunities and assumptions.
• Lead responsible discussions with stakeholders on utilization variances and spending decisions.
• Lead negotiations for significant vendor agreements and sourcing initiatives.
• Develop negotiation strategies balancing financial, operational, service, and risk objectives.
• Ensure negotiated value is measurable and realized throughout the contract lifecycle.
• Maintain understanding of healthcare revenue cycle operations, vendor landscapes.
