Job summary

Vizient, Irving, TX, seeks an Associate Vice President of Procurement Services to lead strategy, growth, and delivery across outsourced procurement for healthcare providers. You will drive end-to-end procurement, client value, and market expansion while collaborating with Sales, Product, Technology, and Operations to develop innovative solutions.

The role requires a track record of leading large, multi-functional teams, managing P&L, and building executive relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Healthcare Administration, Operations, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in procurement, supply chain, managed services, consulting, or outsourced business services.
• 5+ years leading large, multi-functional teams with responsibility for operational performance and talent development.
• Demonstrated experience building, scaling, or transforming procurement operations or managed services organizations.
• Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, forecasting, and P&L accountability.
• Proven ability to develop executive-level client relationships and influence senior stakeholders.
• Experience supporting sales pursuits, solution design, contract negotiations, and business development activities.
• Knowledge of healthcare supply chain operations, procurement technologies, ERP systems, and Procure-to-Pay processes preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to lead through change, drive innovation, and operate effectively in a matrixed organization.
• Willingness to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead a high-performing team of procurement leaders and professionals, fostering accountability and continuous improvement.
• Define and execute the long-term strategy, operating model, and growth roadmap for Vizient's Procurement Services.
• Scale technology-enabled procurement solutions to drive efficiency, savings, and operational excellence.
• Develop executive client relationships and lead governance reviews to communicate value and identify expansion opportunities.
• Partner with Sales and Marketing to develop go-to-market strategies and thought-leadership materials.
• Oversee financial performance including revenue growth, profitability, budgeting, and P&L management.
• Drive automation, analytics, and AI adoption to improve productivity and margins.
• Represent Vizient at industry conferences and client forums to promote capabilities.
