Job summary

Aon is seeking an AVP/VP of Pharmacy Analytics to lead the design and deployment of analytics solutions across pharmacy claims, PBMs, and formulary strategy. You will guide cross‑functional teams and translate complex data into strategic guidance for clients, shaping pharmacy benefit design and intervention strategies.

The role requires a decade of healthcare analytics leadership, strong data skills, and the ability to present to executives.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10+ years in healthcare analytics, pharmacy analytics, PBM, consulting, health plans or related datasets.
• Deep understanding of PBM operations, formulary design, specialty pharmacy, and pricing methodologies.
• Experience translating claims data into strategic recommendations for executives.
• Proven leadership of analytics teams or cross-functional initiatives.
• Proficiency with large datasets and analytics tools (SQL, Python, R, SAS, Tableau, Power BI) and ability to communicate complex concepts to varied audiences.
• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field; advanced degree preferred for leadership roles.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and implementation of pharmacy analytics solutions across PBM and formulary domains.
• Oversee analytics related to pharmacy claims, utilization, pricing, rebates, formulary management, and PBM performance.
• Translate complex analyses into executive-ready insights and client-facing narratives.
• Partner with clinical, actuarial, consulting, data science, product, and technology teams to scale analytics solutions.
• Support PBM evaluations, market checks, audits, and vendor performance reviews with data-driven insights.
• Identify cost-efficiency opportunities, trend drivers, and program gaps to inform pharmacy benefit design.
• Ensure methodologies are sound, repeatable, and aligned with client objectives and industry standards.
• Serve as senior point of contact for stakeholders on methodology, findings, and implications.
