Breakthrough T1D is seeking an AVP, Leadership Giving to lead a regional fundraising team and own principal gift strategy for a $15M-$25M revenue goal. The role combines frontline fundraising with strategic team leadership, portfolio management of ~50 high-capacity donors, and cross-functional partnership.

The successful candidate will coach 3-5 leaders, drive multi-channel solicitations up to $5M, and implement data-driven pipeline analytics while traveling 30-40% as needed.

Competenze

• Minimum 10 years of progressive fundraising experience, with at least 5 years in major gifts.
• Minimum 3 years directly managing a major gift fundraising team.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent; advanced degree or CFRE preferred.
• Proven ability to balance frontline donor engagement with operational management, KPI accountability, and staff development.
• Experience developing and executing professional development plans and succession pipelines for major gift teams.
• Strong project management and strategic problem-solving skills; ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, matrixed organization.
• Demonstrated experience with complex, multi-asset gift strategies (outright, planned, blended, corporate, foundation).
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills; ability to present to and engage with sophisticated philanthropists and volunteer leaders.
• Proficiency in Salesforce or comparable CRM and Microsoft Office suite.
• Willingness to travel approximately 30-40% of the time, including occasional evenings and weekends.
• Entrepreneurial spirit, sound professional judgment, and a genuine commitment to Breakthrough T1D's mission.

Mansioni

• Lead, coach, and manage a team of 3-5 Leadership Gift Officers, with clear revenue targets and development plans.
• Accountable for the team's annual revenue goal of $15M-$25M, plus personal $3M-$5M portfolio.
• Conduct structured portfolio strategy sessions and quarterly reviews to maximize donor qualification and coverage.
• Own all $1M+ strategy decisions and co-lead strategy on principal gifts across the team.
• Develop and monitor KPIs, activity metrics, and pipeline benchmarks; partner with Prospect Research for materials.
• Collaborate with Territory Executives, Divisional AVPs, and chapter staff to identify and steward leadership prospects.
