Job summary

Breakthrough T1D in the United States seeks an Associate Vice President, Leadership Giving to lead a 3–5 person team and own all principal gift strategy for the region. The AVP manages a personal portfolio of high-capacity donors (~50 accounts, $1M–$5M+) and acts as the strategic anchor for transformational gift opportunities.

You will collaborate with senior leaders, drive regional revenue targets of $15M–$25M, monitor KPIs, and ensure robust pipeline development.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in fundraising with 5+ years in major gifts.
• Experience closing $1M+ gifts.
• Strong team leadership and staff development.
• Travel ~30–40% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Lead 3–5 Leadership Gift Officers with clear revenue targets.
• Manage regional portfolio and multi-channel donor strategy.
• Drive $15M–$25M regional revenue and $3M–$5M personal portfolio.
• Embed in 1M+ strategy conversations across the team.
