Job summary

Breakthrough T1D is seeking an accomplished AVP, Leadership Giving to lead a high-performing team of 3–5 Leadership Gift Officers. You will own all $1M+ gift strategy, personally manage a $1M–$5M portfolio, and drive regional revenue growth through collaborative, data-driven gifting programs.

You will embed in major gift strategy conversations, develop the team, and ensure continuity across chapters, with an emphasis on transformational philanthropy and donor stewardship.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of progressive fundraising experience with at least 5 years in major gift fundraising.
• Minimum 3 years directly managing a major gift fundraising team, with a record of building team performance and developing staff.
• Proven ability to balance frontline donor engagement with operational management, KPI accountability, and staff development.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and manage a team of 3–5 Leadership Gift Officers with clear revenue targets and development plans.
• Own all $1M+ strategy decisions for the team and lead personal solicitations in the $1M–$5M range.
• Facilitate prospect strategy and portfolio health meetings using CRM data to drive pipeline growth and coaching.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to develop multi-channel donor strategies and ensure continuity during staff transitions.
