Job summary

Aflac Columbus is seeking an AVP, Clinical & Specialized Services to lead multidisciplinary teams across clinical operations, disability management, vocational rehab, and behavioral health. This remote role is based in the continental US, with occasional in-person visits to the office as business needs dictate.

The ideal candidate has extensive knowledge of regulatory requirements, strategic service delivery, and performance management. A Bachelor's degree is required; a Master's is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration,Healthcare Administration,Nursing,Rehabilitation Counseling, Human Services, Insurance, or related field.
• 10 years of professional job-related experience.
• 5 years of management experience.
• Master's degree in related field preferred.
• Professional licensure or experience in clinical/behavioral health, vocational rehabilitation, disability management, or related environments.

Responsibilities

• Ensures alignment of clinical & specialized service teams with objectives and best practices.
• Directs multidisciplinary teams across clinical, behavioral health, vocational rehabilitation, ADA, and financial management.
• Evaluates industry, clinical, workforce, and regulatory trends to align services with business needs.
• Drives performance analysis to improve service quality, customer experience, and financial performance.
• Provides strategic direction for policies, standards, and regulatory compliance.
• Partners with Claims, Legal, Compliance, Product, Underwriting, Sales, and Finance leaders to improve service delivery and risk management.
• Provides executive oversight for complex claim decisions, accommodations, return-to-work, and litigation support.
