Job summary

Nationwide is seeking an AVP, Risk and Analytics for Specialty Finance in Columbus, Ohio. The role leads risk, analytics, and reinsurance for the Specialty Finance business, shaping risk-adjusted performance and capital management.

You will partner with senior leaders to ensure robust models, governance, and effective risk transfer strategies. Expect to drive GAAP and statutory considerations, manage a 3+ person team, and influence decisions across Finance, Reinsurance, and Operations.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Finance or quantitative field.
• Graduate degree preferred for advanced roles.
• Experience in insurance, banking, asset management, or specialty finance.
• Proven leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Own risk and analytics framework for pricing, capital, and limits.
• Develop credit assumptions and models for losses and risk-adjusted returns.
• Lead governance and risk appetite discussions.
• Oversee reinsurance strategies and data requirements.
• Lead and develop a team of risk and analytics professionals.
