Grange Insurance Company, based in Columbus, Ohio, seeks an AVP Corporate Actuarial to evolve the corporate actuarial function. You will oversee Loss Reserving, Claims Actuarial, and related teams, presenting recommendations to senior leaders and partnering with cross-functional groups.

The role requires ACAS, preferred FCAS, and at least ten years of actuarial experience with three+ years in leadership. The position supports hybrid/remote work options and reports to the Chief Actuary.

Qualifications

• College degree with significant coursework in math, statistics, or actuarial science.
• ACAS is required; FCAS is preferred.
• Ten years of varied actuarial experience preferred.
• Three+ years of managerial experience required.

Responsabilités

• Establish and evolve the strategic direction of the Corporate Actuarial function.
• Oversee Loss Reserving and Claims Actuarial and other actuarial functions.
• Provide analytical support to Claims leaders and interpret initiatives or trends.
• Manage capital and reinsurance topics to support capital position and risk transfer.
• Develop enterprise risk appetite and tolerances with cross-functional partners.
• Mentor and develop staff, and communicate plans to executives and the Board.
