Job summary

Crown Innovations, Inc. is seeking an experienced Aviation Software Verification & Test Engineer to support the development, verification, and certification of advanced aviation navigation systems.

This remote role requires deep DO-178C knowledge and strong Java development capabilities, with travel up to 10% and East Coast-hours alignment. You will lead requirements-based verification, develop test cases, and collaborate across software, systems, and hardware teams to ensure safety-critical

Qualifications

• Eight years of professional software development or verification experience.
• Five years of Java development experience.
• Direct experience with DO-178C software development, verification, testing, or certification.
• Experience testing avionics software in conjunction with hardware.
• Proficiency with SCADE and model-based development environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop, review, and execute software and system test cases, scripts, and procedures.
• Perform requirements-based verification of safety-critical avionics software.
• Conduct functional, system, integration, and performance testing.
• Verify software behavior against system requirements and traceability.
• Analyze test results, document anomalies, and perform regression testing.
• Support verification activities across the avionics development lifecycle.
• Ensure test artifacts are complete, traceable, and certifiable.
