Job summary

Ardurra is seeking an experienced Aviation Project Engineer to join our Aviation Group. This fully remote role is open to candidates residing in Montana or Idaho. You will act as design lead for airfield civil construction projects, coordinating with EITs and project teams to deliver safe, code-compliant solutions.

The ideal candidate holds a civil engineering degree, 5+ years in airport consulting, and a PE or EIT. Proficiency with FAA advisory circulars and AutoCAD Civil 3D is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering is required.
• 5+ years minimum experience in airport consulting/engineering.
• PE license strongly preferred but not required.
• Strong knowledge of FAA advisory circulars related to airport design and FAA grant process.
• Strong communication skills are essential.
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D is required.
• Willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Act as design lead for airfield civil construction projects with EITs and team members.
• Oversee and mentor EITs in grading, pavement, marking design and airport construction safety and phasing.
• Coordinate with owners, internal staff and subconsultants through the project life cycle.
• Present design concepts and alternatives during client reviews.
• Lead during the bidding process.
• Participate in construction inspection and oversight.
