Job summary

Ardurra is seeking an experienced Aviation Project Engineer to join the Aviation Group in the Greater Seattle market. This role offers the flexibility of a fully remote environment, with regular travel to Wenatchee, WA (1–4 times per month).

A PE license or EIT certification is required or strongly preferred. Required qualifications include a civil engineering degree and at least 5 years in airport consulting/engineering, with strong FAA regulatory knowledge and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in civil engineering is required.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in airport consulting/engineering.
• Professional Engineer license strongly preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with FAA advisory circulars for airport design and FAA grant processes.
• Excellent communication skills are essential.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and related software required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as design lead for airfield civil construction projects with the project team.
• Oversee and mentor junior members (EITs) in grading, pavement, marking design, and airport phasing.
• Coordinate with owners, internal staff, and subconsultants through the project life cycle.
• Present design concepts and solutions at client reviews.
• Lead design during bidding processes and contribute to construction inspection.
