Job summary

AVI-SPL is seeking a Design Engineer 2 to transform client requirements into actionable AV system designs and detailed documentation. You will collaborate with Account Managers to understand needs, assess risks, and communicate with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Account Managers to translate requirements into system designs.
• Explain design concepts in client discussions and show how systems meet needs with minimal oversight.
• Provide accurate labor estimates and material requirements for sales proposals.
• Develop and maintain design standards packages for large/repeat customers.
• Create detailed system documentation including BOMs, diagrams, and scopes of work.
• Coordinate with vendors/architects/contractors to align designs with project constraints.
• Review designs from junior engineers and guide adherence to best practices.
• Act as design authority during project implementation and provide technical input.
