Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a remote Automotive Electrical Systems Technician to support a nationwide network of workshops. You will diagnose and guide repairs for complex electrical systems using CAN bus technology and diagnostic software, all from a fully remote setup.

You will review wiring diagrams and service bulletins, document sessions, and collaborate with internal engineering to improve tools. Strong communication and independent work habits are essential for success in this remote role.

Qualifications

• Experience diagnosing and repairing automotive electrical/electronic systems.
• Proficient with diagnostic software and scan tools.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and TSBs.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent remote communication with workshops.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote diagnostic support for electrical/electronic systems.
• Analyze DTCs and data logs to identify root causes.
• Guide workshop technicians via phone, video, and digital platforms.
• Interpret wiring diagrams, TSBs, and OEM manuals.
• Document sessions and feed improvements for tools.
• Collaborate with engineering on recurring issues.
• Maintain clear communication with workshop staff.
