Job summary
Saint-Gobain North America is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive growth across Automotive and Non-Automotive OEM accounts in North America. The role focuses on developing strategic customer relationships, identifying market opportunities, and profitable growth through existing and new accounts.
Reporting to the US Sales Leader, this remote position is located in the Detroit area with up to 50% travel.
Qualifications
- BS Degree in a technical field or Business is required; Masters is preferred.
- If no degree, at least 15 years of Technical Automotive Industry experience.
- 5-10 years of Business Development experience with demonstrated revenue and profit targets.
- Experience with international enterprise selling in complex automotive OEM and Tier 1/2 suppliers.
- Experience with complex contract negotiation across US, Europe and Asia.
Responsibilities
- Lead complex selling processes involving buying influences in Automotive and Non-automotive OEMs.
- Develop relationships with purchasing/strategic sourcing and manufacturing.
- Coordinate timely responses with Saint-Gobain functions.
- Maintain reporting on sales, margin, and project pipeline.
- Present new product development ideas and market cases to customers; organize customer discovery interviews or tech-days.
- Attend shows and seminars; conduct cold calling and outreach campaigns.
