Job summary

AAA The Auto Club Group in Michigan seeks an Auto Liability Claim Representative II to investigate, negotiate, and resolve automobile liability claims. You will review claims, gather facts, assess liability, and ensure timely resolutions in compliance with Michigan laws and company policies.

You will communicate with insureds, document findings, and coordinate with other units as needed, while maintaining high service standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Eligible to obtain State Adjuster license within 90 days.
• 1 year of experience in claim negotiation and subrogation.
• Valid driver's license for in-person inspections when needed.

Responsibilities

• Review assigned claims and contact the insured and affected parties.
• Set expectations for the remainder of the claim process.
• Initiate documentation in the claims handling system.
• Conduct complex coverage analyses and determine liability.
• Evaluate the financial value of the loss and approve payments.
• Refer claims to Underwriting, Recovery Units or SIU as needed.
• Document and code the claim file and close claims in the system.
