Job summary

The Auto Club Group in Michigan Fremont is seeking a Michigan Liability Claim Specialist to independently manage complex claims from start to finish. You will review, investigate, and negotiate settlements while coordinating with insureds, attorneys, and medical teams to resolve claims efficiently.

Position requires knowledge of No-Fault, subrogation, and state statutes, plus eligibility to obtain a State Adjuster license. Remote work may be available; travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in negotiation, evidence evaluation, and subrogation claims.
• Eligible to obtain State Adjuster license within 90 days where required.
• Valid driver's license for in-person inspections or meetings.

Responsibilities

• Review assigned claims, contact insureds and parties, set expectations, and document in the claims system.
• Conduct complex coverage analyses and identify all policyholder benefits.
• Investigate the facts to determine payment, limits, exclusions and possible recovery.
• Review damages, apply state law considerations, and determine loss value.
• Approve payments and refer to Underwriting, Recovery, or SIU as needed.
