Job summary

State Farm is seeking a Claim Specialist in the New Albany, OH area to support Auto Injury claims with a focus on coverage, liability, and fair settlements. This remote position requires residing within 50 miles of New Albany, OH and supports a standard 38:45-hour week with potential overtime and flexible shifts.

Responsibilities include investigating claims, reviewing medical and police reports, and negotiating settlements within policy limits.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing and analyzing injury claims to determine coverage, liability, and damages
• Conducting thorough investigations by gathering relevant information, interviewing involved parties, and reviewing supporting documentation
• Evaluating medical records, police reports, and other related documents to assess the extent of injuries and liability
• Negotiating settlements with claimants, ensuring fair compensation is provided within policy limits
• Documenting all claim activities, maintaining accurate records, and preparing reports as required
• Collaborating with internal teams, including legal, medical, and risk assessment, to ensure proper claim handling
• Claims employees may occasionally deal with difficult and emotional investigations which include traumatic injury and loss of life
• Handling may include lawsuits and/or demands as well as working with Attorneys
• This is a remote position; however candidates must reside within 50 miles of New Albany, OH
