Job summary

State Farm in Lebanon, PA seeks an Auto Estimator for remote-field work, combining at-home virtual estimates with in-person visits to body shops and customers in your territory. You will inspect vehicles, prepare estimates, and guide policyholders through the claims process with empathy and precision.

Ideal candidates have auto estimating experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple systems.

Qualifications

• Auto collision repair, auto damage estimating, and/or auto insurance appraiser experience.
• Excellent customer service, critical thinking, and decision‑making skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multi‑task across technical platforms.
• Accountability and Resourcefulness.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Preferred: Motor Vehicle Physical Damage Appraiser License, CCC One and/or Mitchell knowledge, I‑CAR Platinum Certification.

Responsibilities

• Collect vehicle information from repair shops or customers and complete initial and supplemental estimates via photos or in person.
• Meet with insureds, explain coverage, estimate vehicle damage, and assist through the claims process with top service.
• Use automated estimating systems to prepare repair estimates.
• Provide technical support to claim handlers on vehicle repair issues.
• Evaluate bid content, photo documentation, vehicle damage, and causation issues.
• Handle inbound/outbound calls to customers and repair shops with professionalism.
