Job summary

National General is seeking a field-based estimator in the Wilmington, NC area to create or audit damage estimates for auto and specialty lines. You will train others, mentor staff, and provide technical assistance on material damage claims while negotiating settlements with customers and repair facilities.

Travel locally to inspect vehicles and meet customers, with a focus on accuracy, regulatory compliance, and fair claims practices. Prior CCC ONE experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of body shop, collision repair, or automotive repair experience.
• Strong vehicle knowledge and ability to assess vehicle damage.
• Excellent communication and customer-service skills.

Responsibilities

• Creates or audits comprehensive damage estimates for 1st and 3rd party claims in auto or specialty lines.
• Trains, mentors, and provides technical assistance on material damage claims.
• Negotiates settlements and documents actions across complex files.
