Responsibilities

• Assess loss extent, considering contributory or comparative negligence.
• Process inquiries from insureds, claimants, and agents; coordinate with underwriters.
• Negotiate and resolve claims within delegated authority; refer to counsel when needed.
• Update claims system to reflect status and determine chargeability.
• Approve expenses, prepare releases, and assist in settlement conferences.
• Analyze depositions, expert reports, and medical records to evaluate claims.
