Job summary

InvestigateWest is seeking an Audience Engagement Manager to deepen connections with communities across three states. You will drive web and social strategies, grow readership, and lead membership campaigns to sustain our reporting.

You will collaborate with editors and newsroom leaders, track analytics and develop accessible explainer content to extend the reach and impact of our investigations for rural and underserved audiences.

Qualifications

• Experience with audience engagement, newsletter strategy and analytics.
• Ability to build partnerships and organize community events or programs.
• Strong writing/editing, editorial judgment and commitment to fairness and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Lead our newsletter program and oversee social distribution and discovery strategy.
• Collaborate with editors/reports on publication and distribution for maximum reach.
• Monitor web, newsletter and social metrics and report impact beyond reach.
• Build relationships with community organizations, libraries, schools and local partners.
• Plan and produce community events (virtual or in-person) related to major investigations.
