Job summary

ProAg is seeking an Associate Underwriter for a fully remote role in the USA. You will review crop insurance policy information, ensure proper rating, and respond to broker inquiries within timelines.

You will verify rates using RMA tools, support underwriting with automated systems, and prepare quotations for agents and policyholders. The ideal candidate has at least two years of relevant underwriting experience, a bachelor’s degree in Agriculture or Business, and strong written and verbal

Qualifications

Two years of relevant and progressive professional experience in underwriting or related field.
Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Business Administration, or related field.
Solid written and verbal communication, confidentiality, tact and diplomacy.

Responsibilities

Review policy information for crop insurance coverage and rating to determine acceptability.
Respond to broker inquiries within designated timeframes as an underwriting resource.
Verify rates using RMA tools and ProAg quoting applications.
Prepare quotations for agents and answer questions from agents and policyholders.
Adhere to underwriting directives and company policies and procedures.
Assist with data entry and attend required training sessions.
