Job summary

Cambia Health is seeking an Associate Medical Director of Behavioral Health and Utilization Management for remote work across OR, WA, ID, and UT. This part-time, non-benefited role up to 12 hours/week focuses on leadership and clinical oversight of BH utilization management across lines of business.

Ideal candidates will be licensed MD/DO physicians with board certification in psychiatry (dual board preferred) and at least 3 years of clinical experience, plus 2 years in UM or case management.

Qualifications

• Licensed physician with an MD or DO degree.
• Active, unrestricted medical license in one or more states.
• Board certification in general or child psychiatry; dual board preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of clinical experience.
• At least 2 years in health plan utilization or case management.

Responsibilities

• Perform behavioral health utilization management reviews including PA and appeals.
• Develop and implement behavioral health policies and programs.
• Provide operational leadership for an integrated behavioral health program.
• Serve as medical subject matter expert and lead staff.
• Collaborate with executives and providers to improve utilization policies.
• Stay current with industry trends to improve outcomes and reduce costs.
