Job summary

Cambia Health is seeking an Associate Medical Director BH/UM to provide clinical leadership across behavioral health utilization management. This part-time, remote role supports multiple states and emphasizes peer reviews, policy development, and collaboration with providers to improve outcomes.

The position requires an MD/DO, board certification in psychiatry, and a minimum of 3 years of clinical and UM experience.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted medical license in one or more states.
• Board certification in general psychiatry or child psychiatry; dual certification preferred.
• Minimum 3 years clinical experience.
• Experience in health plan utilization management or case management.
• Must reside in ID, OR, UT, or WA.

Responsibilities

• Oversee behavioral health utilization management reviews, including prior authorizations and appeals.
• Develop and implement behavioral health policies and programs.
• Lead operational policies and monitor utilization and outcomes.
• Serve as clinical SME and provide leadership to staff.
• Collaborate with executive leadership and providers to improve UM.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and opportunities.
