Job summary

Cambia Health is seeking an Associate Medical Director for Behavioral Health and Utilization Management, a part-time, remote leadership role. The position supports behavioral health policies, case reviews, and program development while collaborating with cross-functional leaders across multiple states.

The ideal candidate is a licensed MD/DO with board certification in psychiatry (general or child), at least 3 years of clinical experience, and 2+ years in UM or case management, located in ID,

Qualifications

• MD or DO with active, unrestricted license in one or more of the four states (ID, OR, WA, UT).
• Board certification in general or child psychiatry; preference for both.
• Minimum 3 years of clinical experience.
• At least 2 years in health plan medical utilization management or case management.

Responsibilities

• Perform Behavioral Health utilization management reviews, including prior authorizations and appeals.
• Develop and implement Behavioral Health policies and programs; set short and long-range goals for integrated UM.
• Oversee operational policies and standards for integrated behavioral health programs; monitor utilization and outcomes.
• Provide medical leadership and clinical oversight for staff; ensure safe, cost-efficient services for members.
• Collaborate with the Executive Medical Director of Behavioral Health and other stakeholders on policy reviews.
• Stay informed on industry, medical, and technology trends to identify opportunities to improve outcomes and reduce costs.
