Job summary

Avantor is seeking an Associate Counsel to join the technology and information security legal team, focusing on cloud technology, digital platforms and SaaS transactions. This remote role supports licensing and technology vendor agreements across Avantor's enterprise, working with IT, Privacy, Sourcing and Sales to enable technology use.

You will draft and review both standard and non-standard IT agreements, develop playbooks, and advise cross-functional teams on legal risk and business

Qualifications

• JD required from an accredited law school.
• Admitted to practice law and in good standing in at least one US state or DC.
• Meets local legal license requirements.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review and revise IT and vendor contracts.
• Advise IT, Sourcing and Sales on complex vendor agreements.
• Develop playbooks and templates for legal reviews.
• Review data processing agreements and align with IT strategies.
• Coordinate contract negotiations across departments.
• Escalate complex issues to senior attorneys and support resolution.
