Job summary

Avantor is seeking an Associate Counsel to support the technology and information security legal team. The role focuses on cloud technology, digital platforms, and SaaS transactions, including licensing and technology vendor agreements across Avantor's enterprise.

Remote position, with collaboration across IT, Privacy, Sourcing and Sales teams. The candidate should have 5–10 years of experience, a JD, and be admitted to practice in at least one US state or DC.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school
• Bar admission in the US or DC in good standing
• Ability to translate technical concepts into practical legal guidance

Responsibilities

• Draft and review agreements, including routine and non-standard IT/vendor contracts
• Advise on complex IT vendor agreements and digital product contracting
• Develop playbooks and templates for IT and security reviews
• Coordinate cross-departmental contract negotiations and approvals
• Ensure records retention and file management
