Job summary

Chromalox, a leader in electrical thermal solutions, seeks an Associate Application Engineer, Electric Heat Trace (EHT) to analyze heat trace applications and design innovative, customer-focused solutions.

You will develop cost-effective quotes, support sales with technical expertise, and collaborate with design engineering on orders across the organization. This role is primarily remote, with requirement to reside within commuting distance of the assigned facility for on-site meetings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in electrical, mechanical, or chemical engineering preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills expected.
• Experience with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) required.

Responsibilities

• Design and quote premium solutions for standard and customer-specific thermal heat trace applications.
• Coordinate quotation and order entry with sales, engineering, and plant personnel; provide drawings for approval.
• Assist sales engineers with expertise to offer optimal thermal solutions for unique applications.
• Determine materials and related cost requirements by working with engineering and purchasing departments.
• Lead meetings to communicate dates and progress on large order opportunities.
• Support process and project improvements as required.
