Job summary

NexCore Group is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to oversee non-core and shell building construction, including oversight of subcontractors and punch list development. The role may involve light construction tasks and on-site administrative duties across NexCore owned properties.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, a construction management focus preferred, and at least 1 year of relevant experience. This is a full-time remote position with competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• 1+ years construction and construction management experience required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred with focus in construction management.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Organized, detail-oriented with prioritization ability.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager as a general contractor for non-core and shell projects.
• Self-perform select construction tasks and support tenant finishes.
• Review sub-contracts, pricing, and ensure certificates of insurance are in place.
• Prepare project reports and punch list status updates.
• Travel to properties to support remediation and restoration efforts.
• Oversee quality checks on non-MEP work during development.
• Assist acquisitions with cost estimates for improvements.
• Coordinate warranty issues with general contractor.
• Support Property Operations on special projects.
