Job summary

Scion Legal is seeking an Assistant General Counsel for a fully remote, in-house role with a healthcare technology company. The attorney will handle sophisticated tech transactions, partner with legal leadership, and support business teams in a high-trust environment. Requirements include a J.D.

from a U.S. law school, admission to practice in at least one state, and 10+ years of relevant experience, notably in licensing, IP, and healthcare IT agreements.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school with strong academics.
• Bar admission in at least one U.S. state.
• At least 10 years of relevant legal experience, with both law firm and in-house preferred.
• Experience drafting and negotiating commercial, software licensing, IP, SaaS, and services agreements.
• Experience handling healthcare technology transactions and healthcare IT agreements.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial, software licensing, IP, SaaS, and services agreements.
• Manage technology transactions from discussions through execution.
• Advise stakeholders on contractual risks and solutions.
• Collaborate with contracts manager on procurement guidance and training.
• Support HIPAA privacy and security compliance with the Privacy Officer.
