SVP, Head of Legal Life Sciences and Healthcare

Description:

• Serve as a trusted advisor across a range of legal matters, including healthcare regulatory compliance, provider and payer contracting, data privacy, and corporate governance.
• Draft, review, and negotiate complex agreements, with a focus on value-based care arrangements, provider agreements, MSAs, and strategic partnerships.
• Advise on regulatory frameworks including the Anti-Kickback Statute, Stark Law, HIPAA, and CMS value-based payment models.
• Support business development, product, and clinical operations teams with practical, risk-aware legal counsel that aligns with company objectives.
• Assist in managing outside counsel and contribute to internal legal processes and documentation best practices.

Requirements

• JD from an accredited law school; licensed and in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar.
• 5+ years of relevant legal experience, including in-house experience at a healthcare company or with a law firm advising clients in the health tech or value-based care space.
• In-depth knowledge of healthcare regulations and value-based care models (e.g., ACOs, bundled payments, shared savings arrangements).
• Strong commercial contract drafting and negotiation skills.
• Comfort operating independently in a fast-paced, fully remote environment.
