Job summary

ActivTrak is seeking an Assistant Controller to oversee all accounting operations, with two direct reports, focusing on month-end close, revenue recognition under ASC 606, and audit coordination. The role reports to the Controller and ensures timely, accurate financial reporting across the organization.

The ideal candidate will have SaaS or subscription experience, hands-on NetSuite skills, and a track record of implementing AI-enabled automation to streamline reconciliations and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master’s degree in Accounting.
• 5+ years accounting experience with 2 years as Assistant Controller (or equivalent).
• Experience mentoring/training a team and leading month-end close.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations including journal entries, reconciliations, and GL maintenance.
• Process bi-weekly payroll and ensure timely payroll transactions.
• Oversee AP, AR, and cash management; maintain internal controls.
• Lead analyses, variance investigations, and AI-driven process improvements.
• Own revenue recognition under ASC 606 and coordinate with RevOps on billing.
